GUNS N' ROSES Guitarist BUMBLEFOOT To Perform With JESSALICIA This Weekend

March 26, 2009

GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal will perform with the country sister act JESSALICIA at the 31st annual TriWest Superfrog & Superseal Triathlon Concert to benefit the Naval Special Warfare Foundation on March 29 at Silver Strand State Beach in Coronado, California. Also scheduled to appear are 12 STONES, DIVIDE THE DAY, SUPERFICIAL SAINTS, EMERALD RIVER and JESSICA ERIN, among others.

Thal released an acoustic EP titled "Barefoot" on December 23. Bumblefoot's first collection of acoustic recordings, "Barefoot" sees the guitarist re-interpreting his own songs in a stripped-down bare form. It features versions of songs from various Bumblefoot albums performed in an intimate, revealing way unlike they've ever been heard before.

Bumblefoot last year inked a deal with DEEP/BCD Music Group. His latest full-length CD, "Abnormal", was made available in October. The DEEP/BCD Music Group version of the album includes an exclusive bonus track not available anywhere else.

"Abnormal", the follow-up to Thal's previous offering, "Normal", is a hard rock album flavored with a light-hearted mix of different styles and genres, with catchy hooks and blistering guitar work. It contains "17 powerful, well-delivered tracks" featuring Thal's "incredible lyrics and seriously intense skills on the guitar," according to a press release. Drawing influences from such diverse artists as the SEX PISTOLS, THE BEATLES and FRANK ZAPPA, the CD is "sure to appeal to fans of GUNS N' ROSES as well as musicians everywhere."
